My poem
The Rickshaw Ride was much liked by a lot of people. Rushnaf bhai from
Blunderware thinks that it's one of my best poems, and it was published in NSU English Club's annual publication,
English Matters, earlier this year. Yesterday, it was published on
umnotablogger, where Rushnaf bhai's the chief editor, and I'm a contributor.
Anyways, here's the poem:
THE RICKSHAW RIDE
As buildings and tea stalls
and compiled garbage
passed by us, and led to other
buildings and tea stalls
and compiled garbage,
it was clear that the road ahead had many
turns and twists.
It was clear that
if, and only if, we went straight
we'd end up colliding into a building, or a tea stall,
or compiled garbage.
But fortunately for us,
we know better.
